The Full Story
Jennifer Egloff is a licensed clinical social worker with a rich and diverse background spanning over a decade in community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and crisis intervention. Her journey in the mental health field has been deeply influenced by her own personal experiences, including a history of opiate dependence and a subsequent exploration of healing through psychedelics.
Jennifer's encounter with Ibogaine in October 2022 marked a turning point in her life. Although she faced a relapse afterward, this experience granted her profound insights into the complexities of psychedelic healing. It allowed her to understand the significance of thorough preparation, the journey itself, and the crucial support and integration required afterward. This personal struggle became a catalyst for her deeper understanding of Ibogaine and its potential for healing.
Fueled by frustration with the limitations of traditional mental health settings, Jennifer embarked on a transformative path. Her work in substance abuse treatment, including detox units, and her involvement in harm reduction practices, such as the clean needle exchange program in Boulder, broadened her perspective. As an emergency response crisis clinician in Boulder, she offered vital psychiatric support in high-stress environments, including music festivals, where individuals grappled with challenging drug experiences.
Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jennifer made a resolute decision to pursue a career as a psychedelic-assisted therapist. Enthralled by the innovative approaches of organizations like Innate Path, she enrolled in their inaugural training in the summer of 2021. Simultaneously, her work in a ketamine clinic exposed her to the contrasting paradigms of psychiatric and therapeutic applications of ketamine. This experience reinforced her belief in the potency of somatic, parts-based modalities, which delve deep into the root causes of clients' symptoms, surpassing the limitations of conventional talk therapy like CBT.
Jennifer's personal healing journey took a poignant turn with the sudden loss of her father and her best friend during an Ibogaine treatment. Embracing the medicines and techniques she had studied and practiced, she channeled her energy into her own healing process. Now, a year later, Jennifer offers the same transformative work she discovered through her personal odyssey to her clients. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered, fostering a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their inner experiences and heal from past traumas.
In her therapeutic practice, Jennifer combines her professional expertise with profound empathy, drawing from her personal triumphs and tribulations. Her dedication to guiding others on their healing journeys shines through, making her a beacon of hope and transformation in the realm of mental health and psychedelic-assisted therapy.
